MARK’S® Drum & Fitness Studio was founded by Mark De Rose. The studio's education concept is based on a traditional approach to learning and training in music and general physical fitness. We believe mind, body, and spirit are the fundamental building blocks to development and growth. If you have the spirit to learn, we will give you the knowledge you need to develop and transform yourself. Ages 7 to 107 - all are welcome! Private, semi-private and group lessons are available in drums, percussion, and personal fitness. Combining music and fitness training is an interesting, fun, and healthy approach to better living. All MARK’S® Studio fitness instructors are AFAA, CPR/AED certified.
Drummer/percussionist, Mark De Rose has recorded and performed with many popular Asian music artists including Hino Terumasa, Chage & Aska, Koyanagi Yuki, Togi Hideki and Tanaka Ken. Mark's drum and percussion CD recording credits include Sony Japan, RCA Victor, Pony Canyon, Blue Note Label, Toshiba EMI, Denon and independent labels as well as television and movie soundtrack recordings and television commercial recordings. Mark has composed, arranged, and directed music works for NHK Television, educational television, government sponsored educational videos and animated soundtracks. In the United States, Mark's performance credits include Mary Wilson, The Flamingos, Bobby Wilson, Kenny James, Brent Lewis and John Serry.
Mark has been teaching drums and percussion for over 40 years. His teaching credits include Drum and Latin-Percussion Instructor for the Yamaha Popular Music School, Tokyo, Japan, Latin Percussion Ensemble Instructor for the Kyoto Conservatory of Music, Kyoto City, Japan, Drum and Latin-Percussion Instructor for the Antonio Adolfo School of Brazilian Music in Hollywood, Florida, and Drum and Hand Percussion Instructor for the Guitar Center Studios, Coconut Creek, Florida. Mark is the drum and percussion Instructor at the Venice High School, Venice, Florida and teaches drums, percussion, and piano in the southeast and central west Florida regions.
Mark has a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Composition and Arranging from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts and Classical Percussion Performance Studies and Music Education Studies at the Boston Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
Mark is a certified Black Belt with the InYou Ryu Honbu Karate Dojo in Kyoto, Japan.

Including all techniques for - Tympani, Mallets, Concert Snare Drum, Concert Bass Drum, and auxiliary percussion.
MARCHING PERCUSSION
Including all techniques for - Snare Drum, Tenors, Quads, Bass Drum, Cymbals, and auxiliary percussion.
Drums & Percussion with Mark
The studio is being taught by professional drummer and percussionist Mark De Rose, who has been teaching drums and percussion for over 40 years. He has performed, traveled, and lived around the globe and brings his rich, eclectic experiences to his teaching. Mark teaches with an extensive collection of drums and percussion instruments and his expertise extends from American to world percussion spanning Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
